A collaborative funerary box and ceremony honoring the life of a warbler through the symbolic and physical transformation of matter by fire. Both bodies are crossing a veil into a new state of being. The transformation of clay to ceramic through the firing process creates a new whole from previously dispersed matter. The transformation of the physical body through the same means symbolizes the transformation of consciousness from one of singular physicality to a reintegration into our earth system as something now dispersed and metamorphosed. In this particular case, a product of both transformations is a fused whole.
